Privacy Policy

The short version: your runs stay on your device and in your iCloud. We never see them. We collect almost nothing, we link nothing to your identity except the subscription itself, and we don't track you.

Effective July 2026 · Applies to the 12 Mile Habit iOS app and this website

What stays on your device

Your runs, routes, GPS tracks, streak, plan progress, and anything you type into the app (like your personal pledge or sick-day notes) are stored on your iPhone and, for backup, in your personal iCloud private database. Apple's CloudKit private database belongs to your Apple ID — we have no ability to read it. Precise location is used on-device to measure your outdoor runs and is never transmitted to us.

If you enable Apple Health, completed runs are written to HealthKit on your device. We write only — distance, time, estimated calories, and outdoor routes — and read nothing from Health.

What we collect

What we don't do

Deleting your data

Settings → Privacy → Delete all data erases everything: the local database, your iCloud records for this app, HealthKit authorization, and the anonymous analytics identifier. It is irreversible and takes effect immediately. Because there are no accounts, there is nothing else to delete on any server of ours.

Email

If you email hi@12milehabit.com, we see whatever you send — including any diagnostic file you choose to attach. It's used only to help you and is never shared.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
